In the landscape of contemporary architecture, bronze is experiencing a new era of prominence.

Its extraordinary ability to combine durability, elegance, and versatility makes it a preferred choice for cladding the facades of iconic buildings.

In this context, Astec stands out as a distinguished partner in the design and execution of architectural solutions in bronze, showcasing craftsmanship that has been expressed in internationally renowned projects.

A noble material with timeless allure, bronze lends itself to a multitude of applications in facade design.

Its ability to develop a natural patina over time, enhancing its aesthetic character while protecting the surface from atmospheric agents, makes it an ideal choice for buildings designed to last.

Beyond aesthetics, bronze offers exceptional durability and resistance, addressing the demands of sustainability and low maintenance.

With over forty years of experience and expertise in working with this alloy, Astec has successfully harnessed the full potential of architectural bronze, completing high-profile projects worldwide.

Natuzzi Americas

A striking example of the Treviso-based company’s ability to translate an architectural concept into an impeccable realization is the Natuzzi Americas headquarters in North Carolina.

Here, the bronze cladding of the facade was designed to evoke the bow of a ship, symbolizing the Italian company’s “landing” in the United States.

The imposing 1,200-square-meter wall, crafted with 900 panels of burnished copper alloy, required an extremely precise manufacturing process, with over 115,000 kg of laminated sheets meticulously assembled.

Astec’s expertise extended beyond craftsmanship to site management, enabling the completion of the project in just 196 days through meticulous organization and highly specialized know-how.

Relais San Lorenzo

In Bergamo Alta, the Relais San Lorenzo showcases how bronze can serve as a bridge between history and modernity.

Designed by the Natalini Architetti studio, this project selected bronze for the ventilated facade, featuring burnished copper alloy panels with a “cloud” finish.

Bronze not only imparts a refined appearance to the structure but also strengthens its connection with the surrounding historical and archaeological context.

Astec also crafted the hall and room fixtures, bronze-framed glass panels, and grilles for the archaeological area, demonstrating its ability to work metal with artisanal precision and engineering rigor.

La Petite Afrique

The use of bronze in facades extends to the luxury sector, as evidenced by the La Petite Afrique project in the Principality of Monaco.

This exclusive residence, designed by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, saw Astec engaged in the creation of facade cladding, doors, and windows with the ABX® D45 profile, as well as walkable skylights and custom canopies.

Managing such a complex project, with exceptionally high standards, allowed the company to solidify its position as a benchmark for bronze facades in the luxury sector.

From major corporate headquarters to prestigious residential buildings, bronze continues to affirm itself as a material of choice in contemporary architecture, seamlessly blending aesthetics, resilience, and sustainability.

In this realm, Astec interprets the most ambitious design requirements and transforms them into technical solutions of excellence.

Each completed facade tells a unique story where tradition and innovation converge to create iconic buildings destined to leave a lasting mark over time.
