From passion to international projects
Born from a partnership between experts in metalworking, Astec has made its passion for one of the noblest materials —architectural bronze— its defining hallmark from the very beginning.
It has been a journey shaped by dedication, commitment, and meticulous craftsmanship, one that has led us to work on internationally significant projects, bringing immense satisfaction and reinforcing our identity as ambassadors of Italian artisanal excellence.
Since 1983, our expertise has grown day by day, forged directly in the field: we have an in-depth understanding of the traditional techniques used in architectural bronze fabrication and apply them in a bespoke manner to create windows, cladding, and design components that blend aesthetics, innovation, and intrinsic value.
Over more than forty years of activity, we have refined our processes, expanded our skills, and developed a design approach that enables us to anticipate and interpret market trends. This evolution has opened the door to prestigious collaborations worldwide, marking key milestones in our growth.
International experience
Our drive for excellence soon pushed us beyond Italy’s borders. In 1996, we brought our mastery of architectural bronze to Africa, producing railings and staircases for the United Nations Palace in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, a symbolic project that tested our ability to adapt both technically and culturally.
Just two years later, in 1998, we arrived in the United States with an iconic project that became the starting point of a long series of collaborations across the ocean, further strengthening our international presence.
Since then, every project undertaken outside Italy has been an opportunity to grow: to perfect our manufacturing techniques, better understand new markets, and build lasting relationships with renowned architectural firms and designers.
Astec branches: a bridge between tradition and the future
Today, Astec proudly stands as an international company capable of combining Italian artisanal quality with a direct presence in strategic markets. With the growing number of overseas projects, our Sag Harbor, New York branch was established in 2012, becoming a key point of reference for site management and technical–commercial support across North America.
Two years later, in 2014, we opened a branch in France, solidifying our presence in Europe and positioning us closer to major creative and architectural hubs. These operational bases allow us to remain close to our international partners, responding swiftly to the needs of architects and ensuring hands-on support throughout every stage of the process—from technical consulting to installation.
For us, being present worldwide is not merely about expansion; it is about sharing values: those of artisanal quality, attention to detail, and respect for the material. Every Astec branch represents a meeting point between Italian tradition and the contemporary vision of global architecture. It is this ongoing dialogue between craftsmanship and innovation, between identity and openness, that allows us to approach every project—anywhere in the world—with the same passion that has guided us since day one.
