On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, an educational morning was held with students from IUAV in Venice, Italy, which turned the spotlight on Astec and the properties of copper alloys in contemporary design projects.
Speaking to present our company’s innovative approach and explore the relationship between design and materials were Barbara Gallotta – architect and project manager of Astec, along with Lorenzo Fiamengo – Commercial Department.
Our collaborators offered the first-year undergraduates of the Three-Year Course in Product, Visual Communication and Interior Design useful insights into such central themes as innovation and cutting-edge tools, emphasizing how the choice of materials and the use of technology can positively affect the quality and sustainability of products.
The active participation of students from the Modeling and Materials Laboratory enriched the dialogue between academia and business, opening new perspectives on how theory and practice can integrate to create cutting-edge design solutions.
