In close proximity to the historic center of Treviso, architect Mario Botta has signed the project called “Treviso 2, Treviso Growing,” which includes residences, private and public offices, commercial activities and a church.
Inspired by medieval Italian villages, the designer built a citadel with the intention of “patching up” the urban void and establishing new relationships with the historic center.
In this context of strong innovation, overlooking the large central square, an ideal meeting place with bars, hangouts, stores and cafes, are the new offices of Unindustria Treviso – Union of Industrialists of the Province of Treviso.
Underlying each design choice, the client asked to enhance the Trevisan territory and its entrepreneurial reality.
For these reasons, the companies involved in the creation of the spaces were selected to best represent Made in Italy and to strengthen the identity of the Treviso industrial community characterized by great vision, concreteness, creativity, experimentation and innovation.
Cor-ten steel is the material with which Astec signed off, making the interior wall coverings on the ground and seventh floors.
Specifically, in the main reception area and boardroom (the association’s most important space), project-based solutions, including curves, were designed to create an understated and institutional yet characterful environment through cor-ten steel panels of different thicknesses with backlit satin steel lettering.
