Astec’s contribution to the restoration of a Roman castle converted into a prestigious residence results in a perfect synthesis of monumental aesthetics and contemporary innovation. For the iconic round-arched openings, an exclusive series of thermal break extrusions from the ABX (Astec Bronze eXtrusion) line was developed. These profiles, characterized by a minimal and sophisticated design, guarantee excellent thermal performance while maintaining the visual majesty required by such a prestigious historical monument.
Astec’s technical expertise made it possible to solve the complexities typical of ancient architecture, adapting window and door frames to often irregular pre-existing holes. From custom design to coordination of installation, each phase was managed with the goal of overcoming the challenges of the historic building site, acting with the utmost respect for architectural identity and surroundings.
