Built in 2006 in the exclusive setting of Sagaponack on Long Island (New York), this prestigious private residence bears the signature of renowned architect Peter Marino. A project designed to harmoniously dialogue with the ocean landscape, it represents a true benchmark for luxury residential architecture.

Astec participated in the creation of this magnificent home by providing architectural bronze solutions of the highest engineering standards. The intervention involved the use of the ABX W65 thermal break system for fixed and opening window and door frames, expertly crafted to create complex curved geometries in the plan, thus fluidly indulging the architect’s vision. Also embellishing the entrance was the installation of an elegant door made with the non-thermal break ABX L80 profile.

The project is distinguished by elements of exceptional architectural and technical value, including a refined bronze “sunroom” positioned on the building’s rooftop. The specific challenges posed by the coastal climate also required the design and implementation of a totally bespoke solution: a massive motorized sliding window and door, equipped with innovativeinflatable gaskets (inflatable gaskets) designed to ensure absolute air, water and wind tightness.

To meet the most stringent safety requirements in this geographical area, these ultra-high-performance windows and doors were subjected to rigorous testing at specialized laboratories in Pennsylvania, successfully obtaining the stringent Anti-Hurricane certification. An achievement that once again confirms Astec’s ability to combine the unmistakable aesthetics of bronze with extreme engineering performance to meet the needs of the most exclusive international clients.
