ASTEC BRONZE is pleased to announce that it is currently in production for a second glorious structure at the Great Northern Lodge project of Centre Sky Architecture Ltd. and the Maestro Walt Landi of High Country Builders in Whitefish, Montana.

Inspired by European castles on a hill, this Montana chalet is made of indigenous stone, hand-hewn timbers, and custom Italian-made architectural bronze fenestration and cladding by ASTEC BRONZE. Montana’s Great Northern Lodge is built for the ages and overlooks Glacier National Park, as well as Whitefish and Beaver lakes. Since the owners wanted 360-degree views, robust materials and stunning architecture, it had to be a work of art down to the last detail, made possible thanks to ASTEC BRONZE’s extruded bronze fenestration, including windows, doors and curtain walls made with proprietary extruded architecture bronze profiles (ABX™️), as well as bronze cladding, designed and manufactured exclusively by ASTEC BRONZE in Italy to the highest quality standards

The ASTEC BRONZE “Antico” finish chosen by the Great Northern Lodge project is completely handmade by Venetian artisans. The visible surfaces of the extruded architectural bronze profiles (ABX™️) and matching cladding are hammered with a manual tool that makes the surface rough and hammered in a random and directionless pattern. Then, after an orbital satin finish, roller burnishing begins in intertwining darker parts with lighter parts, all then made more uniform in a proprietary ASTEC BRONZE burnishing bath. After drying of the Antico finish a protective wax or ASTEC BRONZE Nano coat is applied for further durability.
